Here's a novel father's day card that the children of Kingswear Pre-school in Devon, UK will be making during the coming week.
Materials:
  • piece of thin card 15cm X 30cm
  • small square of card the same colour
  • piece of card in corresponding colour
  • 3 buttons
  • glue

Fold the large piece of card in half. 
Make a cut down the fold, approx 3cm in make another cut, repeat again each cut being approx 4 cm long. You should have 3 strips at the top of the card.
Fold and glue the 2 outside strips down so that their corners meet to make the shirt collar.
From contrasting card cut a triangle for a handkerchief and a tie shape.
Glue a square of card 3cm X 3cm in place as a pocket.
Glue the tie in place.
Glue the handkerchief above the pocket.
Glue the three buttons in a line in the middle of the card underneath the tie.
Write a message inside the card.
