  • Pva/stick glue

It may be of help if a model Brontosaurus is made up before giving this craft to the children so that you are familiar with the layout.

Instructions for whole puppet given.

1. Cut out the head and body template and punch out a hole in the top of the head and on the body where marked.
2. Fold the strip of paper concertina style to make the wobbly neck.
3. Tape or staple each end of this folded strip to the head and body.
4. Glue on the yoghurt pot to the nose/muzzle area of the head.
5. Collage whole body with green and yellow tissue paper, or other material of your choice.
6. Finish by tying a length of string through the holes in the head to the body.
Ask the children to act out dinosaur walking slowly (as they were so big !) through the forest looking for leaves to eat. Discuss what they think dinosaurs really looked like and where they liked to live eg. in the water air or land.
